EDUCATION

I commit to advocating for increased state funding including eliminating vouchers, equitable distribution of resources, and fair teacher salaries to ensure that every student has access to a high-quality education, regardless of their zip code.

I will empower parents to have more agency in their children’s education by supporting transparency in school decision-making processes, expanding parental involvement opportunities, and providing resources to help parents navigate the education system effectively.

I will prioritize the provision of necessary special education services and resources to support students with disabilities, including investing in specialized staff training, expanding access to assistive technologies, and ensuring that individualized education plans (IEPs) are effectively implemented to meet the unique needs of each student.

I will advocate for the elimination of unfair, racist, and discriminatory discipline practices in schools by exploring restorative justice programs, providing implicit bias training for educators and administrators, and promoting alternatives to punitive measures such as suspension and expulsion that disproportionately affect students of color and perpetuate the school-to-prison pipeline.
HEALTHCARE

I’ll advocate for the expansion of Medicaid in Georgia to provide affordable healthcare coverage to hundreds of thousands of individuals who currently fall in the coverage gap. Healthcare is a human right, and no Georgian should be suffering simply due to financial barriers and a broken system.

I will prioritize investments in preventive and primary care services, mental health resources, and substance abuse programs to address the root causes of health disparities.
WOMEN'S RIGHTS

I will work to address the exorbitant costs of childcare that burden so many families, especially women. I will advocate for affordable and accessible childcare options, expanded subsidies for low-income families, and the implementation of paid leave policies to ensure that all parents and caretakers can balance work and caregiving responsibilities without financial strain.

I commit to defending women's reproductive rights, including the fundamental right to make decisions about our own bodies. I will fight to protect access to comprehensive reproductive healthcare, including abortion services and contraception, and oppose any attempts to restrict or criminalize reproductive choices.
AFFORDABLE HOUSING

I will fight to increase affordable housing options for all income levels, including middle-income families, through policies like mixed-income developments and inclusionary zoning.

I will address the affordable housing crisis by incentivizing construction of new units, preserving existing housing, and investing in community land trusts.

I’ll expand access to home ownership for low and middle-income families through down payment assistance and affordable mortgage programs to promote economic stability and address wealth disparities.
